Technical Service Support
The Vector Service Department combines over a hundred years of experience repairing and maintaining machines. We have seven technicians available to assist customers in our main office in Marion, Iowa. Our East Coast technician is stationed in Coatesville, PA. His territory is the upper East Coast. To better serve our customers in Europe we recently added another technician in Germany. His territory is all of Europe.
Our Services include:
| Start-Up of Equipment |
We will provide technicians for the start-up and commissioning process for all our equipment as dictated by the needs of our customers. Typically this includes the verification of the installation, verification of all electrical, pneumatic and utility connections, functional testing of the equipment and operator as well as maintenance personnel training. |
| Installation Supervision |
Prior to the start-up we can provide technicians on site to assist with installation questions or to supervise and assist with all of the installation or certain parts of it. Often times one or two visits during this phase will avoid costly mistakes with the installation of the equipment and can actually expedite the installation process. |
| Calibrations |
We provide annual as well as semi-annual on-site NIST traceable calibration services for all our equipment. The greatest value this service adds to your machine is that we will do a complete evaluation of your system, pointing out any topics that might need to be addressed and verifying the complete system function. As you are well aware of, even the correct calibration of all system components does not mean it really functions at top performance levels. We address this issue by looking at your machine from a systems viewpoint and making any adjustments that may be required. This is usually far beyond what an outside calibration contractor can provide for you. This service is provided at no extra charge to our customers. |
| Troubleshooting on Site or Via Modem |
In case you are experiencing problems with your system we provide on-site technical support as well as technical assistance by phone or modem. Our technicians are available to travel on short notice and have many years of relevant experience to address upcoming problems. Our main focus is to have you back in operations as humanly possible. |
| Technical Assistance |
We provide technical assistance in many areas. This could be to evaluate a system for available upgrades, maintenance and repair assistance or even travelling with you to evaluate a used system you intend to purchase, we will assist you in any way we can. |
| Training |
We provide technical and maintenance training, as well as general operational training. Training that requires more product specifics are offered by our laboratory personnel. |
| Repair Parts |
We provide repair parts for all our equipment. Please contact our parts department for assistance. |
| Spare Parts |
We will assist you with creating useful spare parts inventories to avoid downtime as much as possible. We will customize this inventory to your specific needs. Please contact our parts department for assistance. |
